Savory Batter recipe for coating fish, meat,

| It is similar to pancake batter, but using less liquid to make it thicker. |

Sift flour and salt into a bowl. It will incorporate air intothe flour and the batter will be lighter. |

Add egg, butter and milk. Beat to smooth creamy batter. |

| Cooking Tips |
| Substitute milk with water, sparkling water or beer. Experiment, you'll get surprising results. |
| Substituge egg with 2 egg whites. Whisk them to stiff snow peaks for even lighter resutls. |
| Spice up the batter with pepper, mustard, curry powder, or seaweed salt. |
